FINANCIAL COMPENSATION

In order to provide stability in the professional work force, encourage advanced education and a competitive edge, the following compensation opportunities are available for Henry Mayo Staff:

Competitive Salary Structure
Reviewed annually and adjusted based on community standards and difficulty in recruiting or retaining qualified professional staff. The salary structure is built around Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) benchmark jobs with comparative data provided for hospital in the direct labor market area.

Employee Referral Program
Provides current employees with referral bonuses for select positions.

Tuition Reimbursement
Provides assistance, in full or in part, of tuition fees for approved job-related courses of study taken through accredited colleges, universities, and professional organizations.

Education Leave
Provides paid leave for non mandatory classes required for licenses, certification, or renewal.

Longevity Differential
Provides additional compensation for years of service with Henry Mayo.

RN Weekender Program
Provides compensation of $42.00 per hour for RNs that commit to only working six weekend shifts per month.

Specialty Training Scholarship Programs
Staff who are selected can enhance their training and experience through a specialized training program such as RN Critical Care, New Graduate Programs, Behavioral Health, Oncology and Operating Room.
Holiday Premium Pay
Provides premium pay to all non-exempt personnel who have worked a defined shift on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Sign-on Bonuses
Provides new employees with sign-on bonuses for select positions.

Work Study Program
Provides financial assistance to employees who want to pursue a healthcare nursing certification, licensure, or degree by paying them.
Full time wages for working part time hours. For example: CNA -> LVN, CNA --> RN, LVN -> RN.

Flexible Staffing Bonus Program
Provides compensation to staff in Patient Care Services working extra shifts that eliminate or reduce costs associated with registry or other types of temporary staffing.

Medical Staff Scholarship Fund
Offered by the Medical Staff for children of Henry Mayo employees.

Credit Union
Low interest loans and financial services available to members.
ATM located on site.

Professional Certification Recognition
Staff who obtain a specialty certification directly related to the area in which they regularly work shall be entitled to a Certification Bonus.
